February Point score-Babble

February Point score!

Well guys our February point score will not be remembered for its wave quality unfortunately with some average waves early to blown out full onshore for the last few heats especially. We had limited numbers for the second round in the over60s as many decided to go home after the first round which is not ideal when the second round has already been drawn up.

We did not have our designated talliers assigned this month, so thank you to the guys who helped with the tallying duties during the day, Lachlan, Hendo, Mark, Baz, Andrew Farago and Andrew Wilson, who also did the registration and initial heat draw, not to forget Gary Hoban doing our tallying each month, and Andrew for bringing and storing the gear trailer for us, well done guys thank you for all contributing so much.

Mark Harris organised a new barby for us which is great, the old one had certainly pasted its use by date, so thank you mark for that, and Dave was kind enough to cook this month and try it out for the first time.

Donny brought along two boxes of muffins for us to enjoy, thanks mate greatly appreciated, great to see Mal Robbo at the point score judging and bringing his music along for us to enjoy, and Mal tells me he will be back in the water in about 4 weeks, so we all look forward to sharing some waves with you soon mate.

John Young donated a new battery for the timer and hooter to the club, thank you for your kind generosity and support John for all these years now. There were plenty of guys filling in doing extra judging duties when so many left after the first round, so thank you guys for helping out, and to all for your input during the day regardless of what role you contributed towards.

There is a Committee meeting at 7.00pm Woonona-Bulli RSL Tuesday night if anyone would like to attend, we need to discuss Club Championships, the winter classic and the July Presso night that will be here before we know it.

Thank you for your patience and making the point score so enjoyable for all with only fair conditions at best, it show the quality people we have in the club,

Kind regards,

Bill.
