Once again we were blessed with another point score of good waves, sunshine, music, beer and good vibes. Thanks to Ian and Mark for the great beer and brekki.
A big congratulations to Layla Ryan who took out the surfer’s award this month for an outstanding performance. Layla is our youngest club member and deserved the award. I am pretty sure she will be showing her dad up in the not too distant future. A special mention to Billy Morris and his outstanding performance in the first round of the old mals. I don’t think I’ve seen Bill surf that well for a long time. Well done mate, you’ve still got it. And lastly, thanks to everyone who helped out setting up and packing away. It makes it very easy with a lot of hands on board.
It would be great to have the same help for the upcoming Winter Classic: setting up, food tent and packing up. The entry form will go out soon and the date set for the classic is 7th July. Thanks to the generosity of Carabine longboards, there will be prize money in the open logs.
A big thanks to the committee this year so far. It has been a blast bouncing ideas off of each other.
