G’day all!
What a great year it has been: Garry Hoban NO BALLS NO FALLS got in the last round, Pav clubman of the year was well deserved, Tom “I make babies” Bate awarded surfer’s surfer, Snake going to Rob Armstrong for 4 in a row, Drop In to Ian Olrey who is also our outgoing treasurer and many thanks for a great job these last 3 years Ian.
We ended the year with our Sunday Funday and AGM a bit low on member numbers. Despite that we all headed over to Easty and had a free surf for about two hours. So much fun by all in the water with boards getting swapped. There were even a few boards that hadn’t seen the water for awhile: my 6′ 2 Byrne channel bottom and Napper’s Big Red. As always a great breaky on the beach with lots of coffees straight out of kegs..coffee kegs that is!
For the AGM members present voted on the new committee as follows: Pres – McCombie, Vice Pres – Morton, Treasurer – Darcy, Secretary – Lara, Caterer – Pav, Social – Tom & Aido, Website – Greg, Newsletter – Andy & Glenn. One position that still needs filling however is that of Gear Steward. This needs a member to put up their hand and take it on as I can’t continue to keep doing this.
And finally, I’d like to wish all members and their families a safe and happy holidays and a great new year!

Tip for the month: Don’t forget to take the batteries out of your electric toothbrush when you put it in your board bag or you could send a couple of people crazy looking for that buzzing sound!
