August Point score Wrap Up!
Hi Guys, well our August point score was blessed with quality slight offshore waves all day around the 3ft mark, and because of the little numbers who attended the day, mostly had 3 man heats for both rounds, what a pleasure it was to surf in those conditions.
We have only around 36 paid up members at the moment, and as well published you have to be a financial member to surf, and Mark has to forward those financial members names to Surfing Australia before last Friday the 1/8/14 for insurance coverage reasons, not the clubs rules, but Surfing Australia insurance requirements.
We have all had over 2 months to get these fees paid, so please if you intend joining the club and surfing In the September point score join up now, do not leave it until the end of the month, the next point score is the 21/9/14, to avoid Fathers day and the large number of guys surfing in the National Old Mal titles at Crescent Head this year.
Thank you to all the guys who helped set up at the days start, and pack all the gear up at the day’s end, Our tallying duties and heat draws were done by Andrew Wilson and Baz, thank you to both you guys, Andrew Farrow is our gear steward again this year, so thanks mate for doing that very important role for us Andrew.
Our Catering and Barby duties were capably carried out by young Nathan, who was selected as our most improved surfer last year, and continued that positive form on the day also, Donny brought 2 boxes of muffins for us to enjoy, even though he was not surfing still made the effort to come down and deliver them to us, thank you very much Donny, and as always, the tea, coffee etc. we enjoy each month is kindly supplied by Tyse, thank you also mate.
Mark Harris is looking closer to getting back to surfing each time I see him, so I hope you continue well on your recovery mate.
