April Point Score wrap up!
Well, our April point score will go down as the best in the last 12 months for wave quality and south to south westerly winds all day, the only downside the showers which persisted for the last hour or so, but overall I think we would be happy with those surfing conditions every point score!
Thank you to heaps of guys who helped and contributed this month, the designated talliers Rob and Mal we there all day, assisted by Andrew Farago, Andrew Wilson, Nathan & Locky, Andrew Farrow and Dale brought the gear trailer etc along as always, with Dale taking the shirts home each month to wash, and a big effort is always required by Andrew to dry everything out afterwards, thank you to all you guys, Donny was unable to attend this month was kind enough to send us three boxes of muffins anyway to enjoy, thank you Donny, Mal Robbo entertained us with his great music also, thank you Mal.
The food this month was organised by Nathan and the barby duties were carried out by the ever reliable Baz, thanks guys well done as always! The start of the day we thanked as a club the great efforts with the web site by Dave and Greg, our wonderful newsletter by Andy and the great work Gary Hoban does for us tallying the points each month. Especially pleasing were the people who helped pull down and pack up all the gear at the day’s end in those showery conditions, it’s easy to just drive away as some do after the first round surf and leave it all for others, but a great effort guy’s thank you indeed!
I had a lot of guys put their hands up to do some trophies for the classic and presso, Scott, Dale, Jarrett, Corey, Shawn, Baz, Andy, Dave Milnes , Mark Graham and myself included, it’s always great to receive and distribute handmade trophies, it further adds to the character of the club.
Great to see Tyse and Dave Byrne surfing with us this month, Ithought a surfer who really has improved out of sight is Greg Nicholls, the Billy Tolhurst board has done wonders for Greg’s vision and confidence, well done Greg keep it Up!
We will have presso tickets for sale next month so bring some money along, and get those classic entrys in so not to miss out on your Division.
