June point score wrap up!
Hi guys,
Our June point score will be remembered for two things I think, the cold day with those biting westerly winds and the great offshore waves we had all day, and mostly 4 man heats which were really enjoyable to surf in, plenty of quality waves for all!
Our AGM was held start of the day, Mark gave a good account of this year’s expendure and expenses coming up for the club with the presso etc. I acknowledged all our current committee members for their outstanding efforts, commitment and genuine passion they have for doing a great job for the club regardless of their roles. The new committee for the 2014-15 season is:
President – Bill Morris, Vice President – Dale Mccombie, Secretary – Mal Robertson, Treasurer – Mark Harris, Social committee – Greg Nichol & Rob Lumby, Catering – Nathan Hennessy, Lachlan Peters & Mark Gordon, Web Site –Dave Edwards, Newsletter – Andy Goldie, Gear Steward – Andrew Farrow, Point score tallying – Gary Hoban.
Thank you all very much guys for standing for your various positions, it will certainly be my privilege to work with you guys this coming season!
Also thank you to many guys for helping out during the day, talliers were Baz, Chris & Ethan Hughes, Locky, Mal Robbo, Dennis, Gary Hoban, on the Barby, Dave Edwards, Baz & Andrew Farrow, also thank you to Mark Gordon for the catering duties, also thank you to all the guys who stayed around until the end of the day to help pack up.
Craig Hendo scored a free set of rashes from The Snowy comp, we can use as spare if needed, and great to use the new layback rashes this month for the first time.
Remember get your Winter Classic entry’s in this week, and get your press tickets soon, we have only sold 2 so far, so we will not be having a presso night if numbers do not increase very quickly!
