September Point Score Wrap Up

September point score!

Hi Guys,

Well for a point score looking at Saturdays surf and conditions, that I thought would be probably called off, we finished up having glassy smooth conditions with contestable little waves, a real pleasant surprise I am sure you would agree!

We mentioned at the start of the day the annual AGM is being held at the start of the November Point score, where all committee positions become vacant, we need to get all positions filled before surfing begins on the day, so get thinking about nominations for the 2016 year.

I know Mal Robbo and Dale are both stepping down from their positions as Secretary and Vice President, so two important positions there and maybe others also, so think about nominations for all positions.

Thank you to the guys who volunteered to make trophies for the presso, Scott, Jarrett, Baz Dale and myself, if any other guys want to make just 6 trophies please just let me know it will be greatly appreciated thank you, we need to have them by the November point score please.

The presso as stated this year will be held at Bellambi Surf club, it is a byo venue, the presso will be held after the December fun teams morning, starting mid afternoon with food supplied and Cookies band playing some music for us, we expect it will be finished by around 8.00 pm or there abouts, we will need to know numbers for catering but no buying presso tickets is required this year, the club will supply food and a couple of drinks for free and there will be some good lucky door prizes given out also!

Following the October point score you will have a chance to vote on line through our web site for the yearly awards the club gives out, surfers surfer etc, a month will be allocated for that voting and the committee needs all the perpetual trophies bought back by the November point score at the latest please.

Great results for the club and personally, at the National Old Mal held at Crescent recently, a 1st place for Scott in the D-fin 0/40s division, and a 3rd place for Jarrett in the Greenough u/40s division and the Open Log Division, well done to you both, as you know the  standard gets tougher each year, if you can try and make it next year it’s a great comp with a good vibe and the best show and shine you will see all year by far.

Thank you to everyone who helped out at the point score, Andrew Wilson, Mal for doing the heat draw, tallying was done by Baz, John Young and Dale, with the Barby as always cooked by Mark, and the gear trailer we take for granted sometimes, was bought along by Andrew as mostly is the case, thank you to Gary Hoban for doing our tallying all year, a great job Gary as always mate.

Look forward to see you in the water soon,

All the best,

Billy.
